When Carlie Cahill went to pick up a foster dog at a PetSmart, she never thought she’d fall for a sad-looking, overweight Chihuahua named Shorty.
He caught her eye, sitting all alone, and she felt she had to help him.
A Fresh Start
Carlie decided to adopt Shorty and help him get better. After a vet check-up, they found out he had hypothyroidism, a health issue that made him gain a lot of weight.
No one knew about this before Carlie took him in.
